It’s that time of year once again; fireworks shoot into the sky and auld-lang-syne can be heard echoing (not always melodiously) from wherever people gather. It’s a time when we all turn our minds to the changes we’d like to achieve to make the new year better than the last.

It’s no secret that New Year’s resolutions can be hard to keep. Even with the best of intentions, life’s many challenges can soon undermine our efforts to curb old habits. Of all the resolutions a person can make however, one stands above the rest when it comes to difficulty – quitting smoking.
