EDGE COVID-19 Response Measures
EDGE are taking every possible precaution to ensure the safety of all of our colleagues during the current crisis and as such have introduced a number of measures to ensure our working environment is COVID-secure.
The introduction of increased flexibility and home working has actively reduced the number of colleagues on-site at any given time with office staff only attending if their work cannot be conducted remotely. Full social-distancing rules are in place throughout our site and are managed through our use of one way systems, staggered shift patterns including the addition of a third to reduce numbers on-site, headcount restrictions in welfare areas, active encouragement of video conferencing as opposed to traditional meetings, and a full restructure of seating for those staff who cannot avoid being on-site to ensure all working areas are compliant with distancing guidelines. For any areas where a distance of 2 metres cannot be maintained, the 1 metre+ rule is enforced alongside the provision of masks, gloves and safety glasses, albeit with a limit of 10 minutes only for essential work carried out where 2 metres cannot be maintained. Additional cleaners have been employed to continuously disinfect door handles, light switches, handrails and other touch points. Notices to remind employees to wash their hands more frequently are in place, and hand sanitisers have been installed for use at every site entrance and in each office area. Face coverings are actively encouraged and have been provided to all colleagues for their use both on and off our premises.
Our dedicated response team are working tirelessly to ensure all measures are adhered to in an effort to preserve the safety of our team as a whole, and we will all continue working together to overcome the challenges we face, striving to deliver the high levels of service our customers have come to expect.
