Look & Feel
An immediate standout draw to the Plexus Go is how lightweight it feels. This doesn't impact its functionality by any means, but is a huge benefit for people like myself. I only carry the necessities when out and don't have many pockets, so I'd rather not be weighed down by my vape kit.
Innokin have had 10 years to perfect the look and feel of their devices, and as far as perfection goes, the Plexus Go is very close. Although most kits today are pod kits, the Plexus Go benefits from pen kit ergonomics, which many vapers find preferable. I like both types of kits, but I found this pen-style kit to fit very comfortably.
EDGE offers four colour options: Midnight Black, Indigo Blue, Moonlight Silver and Sakura Pink. For what it's worth, I've personally been using the Indigo Blue and can attest to the stylistic choice of colouring and design. -
Functionality
As an AIO device, all I had to do after sliding the top cap was simply fill it. Much simpler than older pen kits, the sliding top port which is a similar approach to pod kits made filling much easier, faster and overall more convenient.
This is maintained throughout the device, with a very simple one-button interface. While its twin device, the Plexus Pro, is designed for more advanced vapers, the Plexus Go is easily accessible for newer vapers (or any vaper looking for a simplistic interface and ease-of-use).
The Plexus Go is equipped to work with any 50/50 e-liquid, with 0.8 and 1.2ohm cartridges available. I used an 0.8ohm cartridge with nic salts and found it worked great, though it should work just as well with freebase e-liquid.
Getting Set Up: How To Use Plexus Go Cartridges
The Plexus Go arrives with a cartridge equipped with an 0.8ohm mesh coil, which is especially beneficial when used with nic salts. I put this to the test using our own EDGE LIQ Pineapple Ice.
As far as pen kits go, the Plexus Go is rather simple to fill:
- Rotate the top of the device, exposing the filling port
- Insert your e-liquid bottle into the filling port
- Squeeze the bottle gently to fill the Plexus Go cartridge - do not overfill it
- Ensure to recover the device by turning the top in the reverse direction
- Leave for a minute to allow absorption
Ohms & Watts: Plexus Go Coils Explained
The Plexus Go caters to both MTL and RDTL vaping styles, making it ideal for freebase or nic salt 50/50 e-liquid, such as our EDGE LIQ range.
With a maximum output of 20W, the Plexus Go will automatically adjust its own wattage, depending on the cartridge inserted. This means that you can simply insert your cartridge of choice, with your e-liquid and start vaping immediately.
The cartridge options are as follows:
0.8ohm Plexus Go Coil
The best all-around option, and the cartridge that comes pre-equipped with the Flexus Pro device, 0.8ohms is the perfect coil measurement for use with nic salts, and can be used with freebase e-liquid. The 0.8ohm coil allows you to make the most of the 20W. When used with freebase, there may be a more notable flavour enhancement and lessened throat hit. If this isn't to your preference, and you want a throat hit closer to smoking, try 1.2ohm.
1.2ohm Plexus Go Coil
For a stronger throat hit, closer to smoking and more tailored to freebase 50/50 e-liquid, the 1.2ohm coil will serve best. This coil will provide levelled flavour with an accompanying tbroat hit, which is closest to what most refillable vape users are familiar with.

Tailoring Your Vaping Experience With The Plexus Go
Whilst there are no menus or interactive features outside of the button, adjustable airflow can be found on the side of the device. While this is usually a feature for more intermediate devices, we'd suggest trying to gradually tailor your airflow to your liking to find your perfect level of draw.

Usability: Innokin Plexus Go Battery Level
With a strong 1,000mAh battery, the Plexus Go should last the whole day with moderate use. For £9.99, this battery level is about as good as it gets.
The battery level is conveniently displayed on the draw button, however the charge display system is unfortunately far from convenient. I initially thought my device was taking a while to charge, and upon checking the manual, realised the charging indicator is quite misleading.
Whilst the battery capacity indicator during use makes sense: red for >10% battery, yellow for 10-30% and green for over 30%, the indicator during charging was quite confusing. Below 90% charge was red. Even when my battery capacity was at 89%, there was no inclination that it had charged well above half capacity. I didn't know until it was at 90%, which, within moments turned the button green anyway.
Compared to other devices that usually signal yellow at around half capacity, this may confuse some users. While this doesn't affect the performance of the device, it's worth keeping in mind. 1,000mAh is a strong capacity for a device at this price, but there are shortcomings in the device's communicative features.
Vape Juice Options: Which E-Liquid Works Best With The Innokin Plexus Go Vape Kit?
With the options of a 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm cartridge, the Plexus Go appeals to both freebase and nic salt e-liquids.
While I tried both freebase and nic salts, I found that the device performed exceedingly well with our own EDGE LIQ bar salt range. Most particularly with the 0.8ohm cartridge that came ready with the device.
Similarly, the 1.2ohm cartridge worked great with freebase e-liquid. I tried EDGE Vanilla Latte e-liquid, which equally benefitted from the iTaste technology.
High-VG e-liquids aren't compatible with this device, as the coils aren't built to handle it. For high-VG e-liquid, try our devices with lower sub-ohm coils.

The Innokin Plexus Go is a great kit suited for beginner vapers, or vapers looking for a simplistic device that performs well on a budget.
The choice of 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm cartridges make the device flexible to freebase and nic salt users, accommodating both equally. This is further beneficial when considering the iTaste tech implemented into each cartridge.
My only real problem with the device is the misleading battery charge stages. Though I'm now aware of the different charge levels, it makes more sense to an extent. I'd still favour other devices' approaches, however.
With a strong set of features and a simplistic design that plays to its advantage, the Plexus Go is a great kit at a great price.
