How Do They Perform?

The GO+ pre-filled pods deliver amazing flavour, even though the 1.1ohm coil resistance is a little higher than the 0.8ohm refillable counterpart.

The device's adaptive power boosting chipset really brings the flavour profile of the nic salt e-liquid inside to life, and easily rivals the performance offered by Vaporesso's COREX mesh technology, which has been considered the industry benchmark for flavour quality since being introduced.

The airflow through the pod itself is clear and smooth, with the airflow slider allowing for a more tailored hit depending on your preference of DTL, RDTL or MTL.

Even when the pods are on the very last few drops of e-liquid, the flavour never dropped, the coils never gurgled, and I experienced no leaking beyond the typical vapour residue all pods seem to have after regular use.

I am a particularly heavy vaper, and still found that one pod would support almost two full days of use before running dry.

I will always personally prefer a refillable pod, but these are amongst the best pre-filled options on the market, with a smart design promoting lifespan and freshness, and unbelievable flavour and performance for their price (£4.99 for a pack of 2).

The coils are built-in, which minimises maintenance fuss. While they might not be quite as convenient as the pre-filled option, they are designed to be as simple as possible, while giving you maximum freedom.

How To Use:

  1. Remove the GO+ refillable pod from its packaging and ensure the contact points on the base of the pod are unobstructed.
  2. Carefully remove the pod's mouthpiece to expose the filling valve.
  3. Insert your chosen e-liquid bottle and gently squeeze to add your chosen e-liquid, taking care not to overfill.
  4. Replace the mouthpiece, and allow a few minutes for the e-liquid to absorb into the coil wick.

How Do They Perform?

The GO+ has some steep competition in the refillable pod market, with the likes of VooPoo and their latest Argus pods and Vaporesso's COREX mesh Xros pods setting the standard for flavour clarity and overall performance.

Despite this, EDGE's GO+ refillable pods compete brilliantly, working in tandem with the performance-boosting chipset inside the GO+ battery to deliver flavour depth and coil lifespan that really impressed me.

The 0.8ohm coil packs a great punch, making the most of double-concentrated bar salt style e-liquids like the EDGELIQ range, as well as breathing new life into the milder profiles of freebase e-liquids like EDGE Core.

The pods are easy to set up and refill, and they never leaked once during use, even after 7 days of very heavy vaping. Throughout my testing, I found that these pods lasted around 14 days each before the flavour started to noticeably degrade, which is seriously impressive when a pack of two costs only £4.

If you are looking for a budget-friendly, versatile open system pod vaping experience, I haven't found anything in over a decade of vaping that comes close to the performance-to-value ratio of the GO+ refillable pods.

The EDGE GO+ battery is a real standout feature for this device. with a 1500mAh capacity, it beats out the majority of competitors, with only a small number of the very latest (and significantly more expensive) pod kits having a battery this large.

In daily use, this translates to over a full day of regular vaping, with only the heaviest use requiring a recharge, making the GO+ an ideal travel companion or a dependable tool for those who have a busy lifestyle.

Even if you do get caught short, the GO+ has 2A fast-charging via a side-mounted USB-C port. In fact, the GO+ has one of the shortest recharge times of any device I've seen, going from flat to full in less than 30 minutes (22minutes according to a timed test I carried out after draining the battery completely!)

While it doesn't come with its own charge cable in the box, any good quality USB-C cable will work. Just remember, if charging from a wall socket, use a USB plug with adaptive charging for maximum safety, or just use a USB port on a laptop or similar device.

The GO+ does have built-in overcharge protection and other safety features, so if you are nervous that your charging setup isn't ideal, the device itself has a solid failsafe built in.

Vape Juice Options: Which E-Liquid Works Best With The EDGE GO+ Vape Kit?

While the GO+ pre-filled pods are limited to nic salts only, the refillable pod supports any 50-50 style e-liquid with ease.

The GO+, while simple in design, proved to be a really versatile kit that works well with 50-50 freebase e-liquids across a range of nicotine strengths. The battery's dual-wattage output and smart power management serve brilliantly as flavour boosters, doing a lot to enhance the less intense flavour concentrates used in typical freebase vape juice like the EDGE Core range.

With that said, this device really shines when paired with the rich, bold, double-concentrated flavour of modern nic salt vape juice, which is no surprise considering this is the flagship e-liquid used in the prefilled pod variants.
